What you will be able to do

  • Write a scope statement whose lines can be answered yes or no on handover day, with an explicit not included list
  • Estimate duration and cost with three numbers, then derive one committed estimate and a single centrally held reserve
  • Run change requests so that no extra work starts before it is priced and approved in writing
  • Schedule on a Sunday to Thursday week and calculate the effect of Ramadan and Eid on team capacity
  • Run a closed handover: signed acceptance, transferred account ownership, and a written definition of the warranty period

About this course

A practical course for people who run real projects in Oman and the Gulf without carrying the project manager title. It targets the five places where projects usually break: scope written in loose phrases, an estimate given as one number and read as a commitment, a status report nobody reads, a schedule set to somebody else's working week, and a handover that ends in an email instead of a signed acceptance. Every lesson gives a rule or a procedure you can apply to your current project this week, with no certification jargon.
